Link Transit

Link Transit - "Connecting Our Communities"

Link Transit is our regional transit system, officially named: The Chelan Douglas Public Transportation Benefit Area. We support Link Transit through our County sales tax.

The mission of Link is to provide safe, reliable, and cost effective public transportation services that promote citizen access to work, recreation, commerce and public services.  It serves the 110,000 residents living within the Chelan-Douglas Transportation Benefit Area as well as visitors. Link also prides itself on its exploration and use of alternative technologies.

The Board of Directors consists of twelve voting members who are local elected officials and one non-voting member who is a labor representative. The elected officials are representatives from each city within our district: Wenatchee, East Wenatchee, Chelan, Entiat, Waterville, Rock Island, Leavenworth, and Cashmere; and two representatives from both Douglas County, and Chelan County. The Board reviews operations and approves the budget and policies.

NO LO GRANT

We were awarded $3.8 million by the federal government in a "No-Lo" grant!  This is a no or low emissions grant which we will use to purchase five electric buses and charging stations. We are leading the country in alternative energy in public transportation!

Celebrating 25 years

This month we are celebrating our 25 year anniversary.  In honor of where we began,

on Friday, December 16, all routes will be fare-free all day long.

If you've never ridden the bus, this is a great way to get out and try Link Transit. Also on Friday, our drivers will be handing out some treats to all of our guests.
