I am honored to be serving you in my first term on the Leavenworth City Council. It energizes me to think what our dynamic entrepreneurs and diverse citizenry will bring to our city over the next few years.  I aim to partner with you for community-based solutions and accessible city government, so we can build a stronger Leavenworth together.

My husband Jay and I have three kids and I was fortunate to spend several years at home with them during their very early years. Globally, our most important work is raising our next generation to be intelligent, compassionate and curious adults.  Before kids I received Bachelors Degrees in Economics and in Community, Environment and Planning from the University of Washington.  I studied community development, urban planning, natural resource economics and environmental issues because with a little bit of foresight, I believe local communities are who will make this world a better place.

I worked for the City of Shoreline and the Washington Toxics Coalition. Currently, I work as the Executive Director for the non-profit Mountain Sprouts, a preschool and child care.  I volunteer with the Cascade School District and with local childrens’ sports programs while Jay works at Cascade Medical Center.

Since moving here we have grown to love this community even more than we expected. The friends we have made are sincere, loving and adventurous, and the mountains never stop giving their glorious rocks and rivers. We are invested in our town and want to give all we can to keep making it better.

I look forward to getting to know you too and there are many ways to connect!
